He studies at the International Christian College and enjoys the holidays so he can spend more time throwing foam around at youth groups, playing guitar occasionally and going to Portobello beach. He is so excited for the work going on in South East Edinburgh and loves being part of God’s plan there.

Is actively involved in music in the church, including training a scratch choir for the annual Lessons and Carols Service. Leads the team of helpers for Messy Church once a month, and the team for the toddlers’ monthly Pram Praise service. Tries to keep the notice boards up-to-date and tidy (not easy!).
	Ray Bain Pastoral Assistant Email: jacqui.bain@hotmail.co.uk Phone: 0798 224 1598 Ray assists the minister in pastoral duties, visiting members in hospital, the housebound and takes services in the local nursing homes. Ray also takes many parish funerals in the Liberton and KLM districts. Ray is also chaplain to our Senior Citizens club which meets on Thursday afternoons. He has been married for 45 years, has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Supports Hibs and likes to spend his spare time fishing at Pitliochry.
	Willie Mearns Church Officer Phone: 0131 664 4779 Willie’s job is to look after all our buildings and keep everybody happy, – something he manages very well (even when they forget that Wednesday is his day off!).
	Mary Mearns Church Officer’s assistant Mary’s Job is to look after Willie (and everybody else, for that matter)

I also look after the hall bookings. I am a wife (1 husband), mother (3 daughters) and a granny (1 grandson) who like to take over my free time, wouldn’t change it for anything.

These meet at different places and times of the week, and vary in frequency to suit the folks who come. As well as opportunities to get to know people better, they are places where you can deepen your faith and find support for issues which may arise in your day to day life.
