Tuesday Prayers

As a Church we have set aside a Tuesday each week and provided a place with space – the UPPER ROOM – a place for time-out. However in these times sadly it is not possible to open and run this space….usually!
You can tomorrow…via Zoom…if you wish.
John, Lindsay and members of the Prayer Team are coming together for a short time at 12 noon and if you wish to join them in Midday Prayers during this venture of Thy Kingdom Come please do contact John or Alastair.

But…..our Tuesdays can still be an opportunity for time out…..with God…..where we are at home or work

You are invited to pause at some time in your Tuesday tomorrow and be still with God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

You are encouraged to speak with Him….to listen to Him.…to receive from Him…

You are invited to share in the Midday Prayer and Evening Prayer that will be posted online at 12noon and 9pm. We are also encouraged to pray the Lord’s Prayer with others in our city and across our land at 5pm….focussing on all those affected by the coronavirus.

You are invited to pray with others in our Church family as we journey through this week together…..and to listen for what God is saying to us in these particular days….

And in the evening at 7.30 on Zoom the Church will be gathering for prayer as part of the THY KINGDOM COME prayer venture when many Christians around the world will also be asking, seeking and knocking on Heaven’s door with a particular sense of urgency in these days.

We want to see our family and friends meet with Jesus and experience the Kingdom of God in their lives.

We long to see the Church and our world experience afresh the Kingdom of God.

As a church, Liberton Kirk has registered to be a part of this.
You can still too – at www.thykingdomcome.global

A prayer from the TKC morning and evening prayer guide….

Almighty God,
your ascended Son has sent us into the world
to preach the good news of your kingdom:
inspire us with your Spirit
and fill our hearts with the fire of your love,
that all who hear your Word
may be drawn to you,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
