Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : 2 CORINTHIANS 4 vs 1-6

Meditation :   take time and consider these words again from Paul. Which words stay with you?

What is God saying to you today from these verses?

then pray in response as your day starts,  speaking out your heart’s desire and deepest need at this time for yourself, for others, for our world.

(Pray your own words to the LORD God……..)

O LORD, hear our various prayers this morning
And be not far from us we ask.

Pray God’s blessing on the Christian believers in Lebanon

Lord, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read these particular verses again from 2 Corinthians 4

Reflect on the words written here – and what God is saying to you now.

Pray in response to this God who loves our world so much!

O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
And bless all those we name before you.

Meditation : take the time to prayerfully consider this chapter this morning.
Look again at verses 7-12.

What is God saying to you today as your day starts?

And then pray in response to this Jesus – our treasured Saviour

O Jesus, our Saviour and Risen Lord,
Shine through our cracked clay
Even today!

Pray God’s blessing on the Christian believers in Syria in these days

LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read chapter 4 again

Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response – for yourself and for others who feel oh so cracked and clay-ish at this time.

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers.
And bless all we name before you we ask.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : 2 CORINTHIANS 3 vs 7-18

Meditation : consider what is said here…as you hear from God at the start of the day.  What words stay with you?

Look again at verses 12-14.

And then Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time to wait before God

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words
And now I pray for you to work them out
as a living reality in my life – even today.

In Jesus’ name.

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask…..seek…..knock……..hear.

Father God…thank you.

Evening

Reading : read the verses again from chapter 3

Reflect prayerfully on these words…. And then pray as your day closes

LORD God, our great God,
For all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern.
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word
As I wait for tomorrow.

Reading : 2 CORINTHIANS 2 vs 12 – ch.3 verse 6

Meditation : take time to carefully consider these verses.

Look again at verses 14-17. What is God saying to you today?

What is your response to Him?

Pray in response – to what God has said here.

LORD God,
Father God,
Oh help me smell of Jesus today!
Oh make us a people who bring others to Jesus!
Oh may the message of Christ be spread in our city!

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

God of grace and mercy…and hope, hear our prayers.

Meditation : take time to consider these words as your Sunday starts.

What is God saying to you today from his Word about forgiveness and victory in Christ?

Look again at verses 7 and 8 this morning as you turn to God in prayer.

Pray in response to what you have read and considered 

O LORD God,
Thank You
Thank You
For Your forgiveness
And victory
In Christ Jesus.
Oh help me not to judge
But to love and comfort.
