Come Holy Spirit to my soul
I receive the Father’s love for me’

Amen we say together

Pause to Pray with Others

On this Sunday in September…as the nation and the world wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For Church leaders across the world at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Thy Kingdom Come at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world!

Each Sunday at Midday we will re-visit one of the 11 daily themes.
This week it is PRAY FOR – as we are reminded to ask…seek…knock…in Jesus’ name…

Daily Devotions for Sunday 19th September, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : JOHN 20 verses 19-23

Meditation : take time and consider Jesus’ words this Sunday morning.

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you.
As the Father sent me, so I send you.”
Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

And then pause with God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Wait.
Hear.
Receive.

Thank you O my God
For your peace
For sending even me
For the gift of Your Holy Spirit

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen
