Daily Devotions for Saturday 16th March, 2024

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : PSALM 16
Meditation : take the time to consider these particular words this Saturday morning.
Safe.
Refuge.
The LORD

What are you encouraged and challenged by from God’s written Word today?
Which words stay with you as your day starts?

And then take time to Pray in response to this God
Honestly, humbly.

Amen we pray together this new day.

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from PSALM 16
Reflect on these words of David…. and then Pray in response to this God

Examine me, O God, and know my mind;
test me, and discover my thoughts.
Find out if there is any evil in me
and guide me in the everlasting way

Who may dwell?
Never be shaken.

What images or words stay with you?
What is your response to God’s written Word today?

Pray God’s blessing on those on our Church Prayer List
Father God, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from PSALM 15
– in another version?
Reflect on the truths behind the words and pray in response to our Father God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For all you have done for us
We believe
Help our unbelief
As we name others in our church family before You this evening
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Asking….seeking…..confessing….

Pray your own words of trust and request to the LORD our God.

Pray God’s blessing on believers in Pakistan
Father God…hear our prayers and bless each and all we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from PSALM 14
Reflect on the words and images at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – with your words of request and trust

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For all your amazing grace to us
For our trust and hope is in you
As we ask, seek and knock on heaven’s door
