Daily Devotions for Saturday 13th March, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : LUKE 4 verses 1-13

Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
The Temptations of Jesus.
What do they mean for you in your daily living?
What is God saying to you today about Himself?

And then Pray in response to what you read – to this God of ours.
Praying for help and strength and wisdom
Praying for others known to you at this time

In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen!

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from LUKE 4
Reflect on this God, your God, our God…. and then Call on Him in your evening Prayer

LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are!
For all you have done for us!
For your help and protection even today!
And as we give it all back to you
May you help us in our struggles

Daily Devotions for Friday 12th March, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : MARK 14 verses 32-42

Meditation : consider these events and words again this morning.
Jesus in Prayer.
What do they mean for you in your life?
Who is this Jesus to you?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray with confidence to our Father God to bless others known to us
Especially those struggling with a hard decision at this time

Amen – we pray together.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on the work of FRESH START in these times
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from MARK 14
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
Thank you that you understand our struggles
And bring a blessing to those in need this evening we ask.

Reading : MARK 11 verses 15-19
Meditation : take time and carefully consider these words.
A House of Prayer.
What is God saying to you today about Himself from His Word?

Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts

Pray your own words this morning to the LORD God as you come near to Him……..
Praying God’s blessing on our church buildings and all those in our city at this time

Pray God’s blessing on the work of the CYRENIANS at this time
Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.

Evening

Reflect on the words and events here – and what God is saying to you.
Pray in response to this God who hears and answers Prayer

O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we return our thanks to You.
As we humbly confess our sins
As we lay all we are and have before You

LORD, hear our prayers and give blessing real good we ask.

As we thank you for your blessings in our lives
