Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : EXODUS chapter 2
Meditation : take time to consider God at work behind these events
Moses’ birth
Moses flees

What words stay with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you today?

Then take time to Pray in response to this God
Naming others who have run away from troubling circumstances

O LORD our God
Give help and courage we ask
In Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those on our Church Prayer List at this time
Father God, hear our prayers, give grace and help we ask

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from EXODUS chapter 2
Reflect on the way God is at work in your life
and pray in response to Him

LORD God, Eternal and living God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
And your help even this day
As we bring ourselves and our world to you at the end of this day.
Amen.

Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into the weekend….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from GENESIS chapter 45 – as we consider BEFORE THE GOOD NEWS – GOD’S PLAN BEGINS through 2024.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes….

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Friday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, Yemen and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

And then Pray with honest words to this God of ours in response

Happy are those who have the God of Jacob to help them
and who depend on the LORD their God,
the Creator of heaven, earth, and sea,
and all that is in them.
He always keeps his promises;
He judges in favour of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry

And so we ask, Holy Spirit,
Have mercy on our family members
Even those far from You and from our homes
Amen – we pray together.
