Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : PSALM 66

Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning.
A shout of joy!
A song of praise.
An invitation to ‘come and see what God has done’.
What does God’s Word say to you today?

And then Pray in response – putting verses 16-20 into practice

O God, my Father,
Hear my morning prayer
As I bring my sacrifice of praise
With a shout of joy!
As I praise you!
In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on your family and neighbours
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good
Surprise them even this day.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Psalm 66 at the end of your day
Reflect on the words prayerfully as you look back over your day and then Pray in response
LORD God, our God, hear our prayers this evening.
As we shout out to you in praise
As we return our thanks to you
As we name those we have spoken with today
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reading : PHILIPPIANS 1 verses 1-11

Meditation : take time to consider the theme of THANKS this morning.
Read the verses again as you turn them into your morning prayer of thanksgiving
to this generous and gracious God of ours!

Take the time to Pray with thanksgiving as your day starts.

O God of blessing upon blessing
We thank You this morning
For who You are
For all You have given us in Christ Jesus
For all the people You have given us
To journey with in this life
And the gifts you will give us even today!
In Jesus’ name we return our thanks.
Amen – we pray together.

And then take time to Pray in your own words in response to this God
Asking for help at this time
And praying for others – including the Messy Church Picnic
