What words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today and what is your response?

Take time to Pray in response – including for others known to you in need at this time

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask and seek and knock……and hear
Father God…Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from MATTHEW 5 verses 13-16
Reflect…. and then Pray as your day closes

Father God, God of today,
My God, our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for your help today
As we journey from today to tomorrow
As we name others before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

An Invitation to Time-Out

You are invited to the Upper Room….to take a walk….and to TKC 2021…..

As a Church we usually set aside a Tuesday each week and provide a place with space – the UPPER ROOM – a place for time-out in our busy days. In these weeks and months of lockdown 2021 it was not possible to open and run this space…….but this Tuesday it is!!

* A space to be still in a busy world – in the room above the Kirkgate Cafe 7.30am-7.30pm
** Private prayer for yourself and for others
* Listening to God – Father Son and Holy Spirit
** Opportunities to pause and pray with others at 8am…12 midday…7pm

You are invited to take a walk…
You are encouraged to take some exercise by the Government..and we would invite you to take a walk around the Kirkyard and consider what God is saying to you at this time from the words displayed.
You are invited to use the bench at the top left of the Kirkyard (under the large tree) to pause and pray – to be still with God – to ask, seek, knock, wait and receive

You are invited to Thy Kingdom Come 2021…
A global opportunity to pray with other believers for the Kingdom of God to be experienced afresh in our day.
Over 80 Church denominations from 90% of the world’s countries are involved in the 11 days from 13th-23rd May.
There is a daily theme to consider – including Thanks, Pray For, Help and Silence – and you can find these each morning on the Kirk website – our Daily Devotions at 7am, our Daily Reflections at 8am – and on www.ThyKingdomCome.global
This is an opportunity to pray for others to meet with Jesus, for our city, our nation and our world to experience and evidence the Kingdom of God in our day….and for the name of Jesus to be lifted higher than any other!

A Call to Tuesday Evening Prayer

You are invited to pause and pray with others at this time in your day.

You are encouraged to pray for the upcoming election…that God would raise up more leaders in our national life who follow Jesus the Christ

You may need to name others before Father God

You may want to revisit the Daily Devotions for today – PSALM 47

Pause to Pray with Others

On this particular Tuesday…as the nation journeys forward out of this season of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends

For all nations in our world at this time where vaccines are not reaching

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Upper Room day – time out with God

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : PSALM 47

Meditation : consider all that is said here about God, the Most High.
What words stay with you? What is God saying to you from His Word?

And then Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time first to wait before God

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words
And now I pray for you to work them out
as a living reality in my life – even today
as I thank you that you are with me
on my journey through life.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done’
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from PSALM 47
Reflect prayerfully on these words…. And then pray to this God as your day closes

LORD God, our Father God,
Thank you for being there with me
For all of today.
I thank You
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern.
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word
As I wait for tomorrow.
As I look around at this world
In these days.
Have mercy O Lord!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
