Pause to Pray for Others

On this last Wednesday in September…as the nation and the world still wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For the elderly in our world at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time of decision making

Daily Devotions for Wednesday 22nd September, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : ROMANS 8 verses 18-27

Meditation : As we pause with God we take time to consider what these verses teach us.

In the same way the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express. And God, who sees into our hearts, knows what the thought of the Spirit is; because the Spirit pleads with God on behalf of his people and in accordance with his will.

Then take the time to Pray to this God, the Holy Spirit

Pause with Him – the Three-in-One
Rejoice He is with you where you are!
Ask Him for….
Yield to keep in step with Him today

In Jesus’ Name
Amen

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on our Prayer Ministry Team as they serve us and our community
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers this day.

Evening

Reading : read these verses again from ROMANS 8
Reflect on the words…. And then pray to this God we believe and trust in

Pause with Him as your day closes
Rejoice He was with you today
Ask Him for another
Yield to keep in step with Him tomorrow

In Jesus’ Name
Amen
