Special Communion
This service takes place on the 2nd Sunday in September ’22, February’23 and May ’23 in the Kirk Centre(Anderson Hall) at 3pm.

Communion is given by Rev John Young, which is then followed by refreshments and shared fellowship.
This service is mainly for members of the congregation and the community who cannot manage the usual Communion Service but everyone is welcome. Transport can be arranged if needed.
We are always in need of drivers to help with transport. If you would like to help or know anyone who would like to come or would like more information please contact Eleanor or Linda Wright
Home Communion.

Fresh Start
This helps the previously homeless equip their new tenancies. They provide household equipment eg bedding, cups, kitchen equipment etc. Any contributions can be left in Offering House. No furniture. Any more information contact Eleanor Grieve ellie.57@hotmail.co.uk

Bethany Christian Fellowship
Liberton Kirk is one of the many Edinburgh Churches who send teams to help with the monthly Care Van and Winter Night Shelter.
Care Van
Liberton send out a team every 2nd Wednesday of the month. They give out hot soup, rolls tea and coffee and warm clothing ,which has been handed into Liberton Kirk from members of the congregation, to the people who are living on the streets.Donations of new men and women’s underwear, warm socks, jumpers and coats are also welcome.
Night Shelter
Liberton send a team twice a year to help with this. The team is responsible for providing a 2 course hot meal for the people who are using the shelter. Bethany provide the plates, cutlery and bedding.
The Night Shelter is running from 5th October ’22 to 30th April’23 and will be situated at the Welcome Hub at Haymarket.

There is an information evening on 25th September 2024 at 7pm-8:45pm in Kirk House. Come and find out more on how the Care Van and Night Shelter run. Refreshments will be served.
Senior Citizens
This is a social group who meet every Thursday afternoon from 2pm from September to April. The cost is £2:00 a meeting. Transport is also provided at the cost of £1:50.

Safe Families for Children
This is a Christian Organisation who can offer support for families who are struggling with circumstances. Safe Families provide volunteers who can support the families by having the children for a few hours a week, This can give the parents time to attend appointments or even just have time for themselves. Training will be given.

Warm Hub/ Friendship Hub
A “Warm Hub” has started at Liberton Kirk Halls. It will run from 1pm-4:30pm every Friday afternoon Tea and Coffee will be provided. There will be an I.T. clinic, Knit and Natter, Board Games and use of the Wi Fi or just a space to read a book or magazine. Tea and Coffee will be provided.

Bereavement Support Group
