There are opportunities at times other than on Sundays for people to meet together to worship or pray. Some of these are mentioned below:
Pram Praise for Toddlers and their Carers
Once a month in the Small Hall, timed to coincide with the toddlers’ group on Wednesday mornings, 20 minutes of relaxed worship specially for the under-threes. Dates will be advertised.
Messy Church
Messy Church gives young families a chance to be part of a church community on a day other than Sunday. Usually on the last Saturday of the month (except June, July and December) in the Kirk Centre from 4pm to 6pm, it is a fun time of crafts, games, friendship, worship and food. More details here.
Gathering for Praise
The church musicians and singers meet on alternate Wednesdays at 7.30pm in the Kirk or Kirk Centre to worship God as they plan for the coming Sundays. This is open to all.
Gathering for Prayer
On the last Tuesday evening of most months at 7.30pm we meet to worship and pray as a church community in the Wilson Hall or the Kirk (or sometimes on Zoom). Liberton Kirk believes in the importance and the power of prayer as a church, but also in small groups and individually. Please look at our Prayer page and our Daily Devotions to see what opportunities there are.
Monthly Services in Homes
Liberton Brae – first Tuesday, Guthrie House – last Tuesday, both at 2.30pm. More details from Robert Sneddon, email robertsneddon1950@gmail.com
Link Groups
We believe in the importance of small groups in the life of the congregation and encourage everybody to get involved. In these groups people find companionship and support in their daily lives. All include a time of prayer. More details here.
