And then turn to prayer.
Lord Jesus, You paid our ransom.
You took all our sin to the cross,
giving us life through You.
We commit this day to You,
the living God, who walked among us,
who suffered, died and then rose to eternal glory.
Help us live in Your light.
In Your name, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on the staff teams of OPEN DOORS.
Lord, bless those who work to remove the persecution of Your people in this world, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from HEBREWS 9:11-15.
Reflect and then pray to the LORD our God.
Lord, we were separated from You by our own deeds.
You have bridged that gap,
re-built the path to be in Your presence.
At the end of this day, we ask for cleansing.
Wash our failing away,
so tomorrow we can start afresh in Your power.
