Kirk Centre

About the Kirk Centre

The Kirk Centre is at the heart of the outreach that we do to the local community and is a hive of activity and is open 7 days a week, often from early morning until late at night.

The building consist of a number of rooms and spaces that can be used and booked for a variety of purposes. Parts of the building go back to 1888 with the most recent additions completed in 1993.

It hosts the Kirkgate café which is a community café staffed by a café manager and volunteers from local churches and within the community.  The café is a nice space to meet family and friends for a cuppa and some homemade baking. More information on the café can be found here.

Booking can be made for a variety of reasons, not just church meetings, and includes business/commercial bookings for meetings, birthday parties, uniformed organisations like Scouts and Girl Guides, and lots of other events.
