Reading: 1 SAMUEL 17:12-32.
Meditation: as we pause with God we consider these words.
“Do not lose heart”
And then respond in prayer with Him.
Lord, protector and steadfast support,
many things in this world will test us,
people will taunt us,
and situations will put us on trial,
so we turn to You to not lose heart.
You will help us defeat
Midday:
Take time to listen for God to speak with you – ask, seek, knock – hear!
We are here Lord, we knock, we seek, we hear, amen.
Evening:
Read the words again from 1 SAMUEL 17:12-32.
Reflect and then pray in response to our God.
Lord Jesus, we reflect at the end of this day,
we think on moments when we feel silenced by others.
We hope to react kindly and patiently,
to seek someone who will listen.
We strive to act compassionately,
as You would.
