“May you be blessed for your good judgment”
And then turn to pray to Him.
Father in heaven, the great counsellor,
Your judgement and wisdom have no rival.
We spend time this morning, in Your presence,
learning from Your word,
in the attempt to be gifted with fairness and discernment.
We give this day to You to be led,
following in faith and justice.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on Big Idea group of churches.
Bring unity and continued fellowship, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from 1 SAMUEL 25:14-35.
Reflect and then pray to the LORD our God.
Lord Jesus, we can often be too hasty,
jumping into angry and vengeful thoughts
against those we perceive as enemies.
This evening, we reflect on today,
show is when we falter,
where our human nature triumphed over our faith.
We look to you, asking for guidance,
to keep our focus on You tomorrow,
to be Christ-centred in all we do.
