Reading: 2 SAMUEL 3:1-5
Morning:
Reading: 2 SAMUEL 3:1-5.
Meditation: as we pause with Jesus, we take time to consider these words.
And then pray to our God.
Lord God, the Father of mankind,
You provide for us our family,
our friends and our tribe.
Help us listen to the correct people,
and not be turned from the truth
by human temptation.
Protect us this day,
in Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from 2 SAMUEL 3:1-5.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord Jesus, descendant of David.
Your ancestor was a great king,
and You are the greatest,
the King of all kings.
We spend time this evening,
praising Your Holy Name.
For ever and ever, amen.
