Morning:
Read: 2 SAMUEL 11
Meditation: as we pause with God, we take time to consider these particular events today.
- Deception
- forgiveness
And then pray in response.
Lord God, we enter your presence at the beginning of a new week and month.
You are our guide, you will never lead us down the wrong path.
We ask for protection, our Lord.
Protect our hearts and keep us blessed.
We promise this morning, to look to you for guidance,
to search our lives for those action we would wish to hide from you,
and bring it all to you in humility.
We ask for your forgiveness.
So that we have find deliverance and mercy.
Keeping our focus on you this day, week and month.
In Jesus name we pray, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on our neighbours.
For our neighbours in heart and in home, bring happiness and love, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from 2 Samuel 11
Reflect and then pray to this God in response.
Lord Jesus, our King, we praise you!
We seek you this evening,
in rest in your presence.
In the quiet of our soul,
speak to us.
Show us the path you wish us to walk,
giving clarity to those decisions we are avoiding.
We ask you to bestow your wisdom on us.
For your knowledge is eternal
and your love is unfailing.
In your glorious name, amen.
