Meditation: as we pause with Jesus today, we take time to consider these verses.
- Safety
And then pray to Him.
Lord God, our leader,
the one we need to follow.
In times of challenge,
we ask for your guidance
on when are to where to retreat
Show us the path to safety.
In Jesus name, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from 2 SAMUEL 15:13-37.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord Jesus, our saviour.
We enter into your radiant presence,
to pause, to rest and to reflect.
Show us when we should stand,
and when we should flee.
We ask that we hear your voice
clear and strong.
In your name we pray, amen.
