Reading: 2 SAMUEL 18:31-33.
Meditation: as we pause with God, we take time to consider these words.
- Bereavement
- Family fractures
And then pray in response to this God.
Lord in heaven, you are the perfect father.
We lift to you this morning,
all the families we know that have a divide within them.
May you heal the rift before death makes the separation permanent.
Fill the hearts of all with forgiveness and compassion.
To you we plead this, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on those on our Church Prayer List.
Bring support and healing, amen.
Evening:
Read these words again from 2 SAMUEL 18:31-33.
Take time to reflect and pray to Father God.
Lord God, the greatest comforter,
we ask you to embrace those in grief.
Sit with them in their anguish
and walk with them through their difficult times.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
