Meditation: as we pause with Jesus, we consider these words.
And then pray to this God we believe in.
Heavenly Father, awesome King,
awe-inspiring Sovereign.
Your power is displayed mightily and subtly.
We wait for your intervention,
and welcome your presence in our lives.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from 2 SAMUEL 22:17-31.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord Jesus, your provision for us is unrivalled.
You power is massive.
When faces with our enemies,
you will deliver us to freedom.
We praise and worship you for your continued protection.
