Morning:
Reading: 1 SAMUEL 26:1-12.
Meditation: As we pause with God, we take the time to consider these words.
“Don’t destroy him!”
And then pray in response to Him.
Father God, You are the giver of wisdom,
of which we ask for a little.
At times we can feel challenged,
and can be tempted to return discord with further hostility.
Help us Lord to act justly,
with integrity and compassion.
In Jesus name’ we pray, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on our family members and friends.
Bring love and provision for all, amen.
Evening:
Read these words again from 1 SAMUEL, 26:1-12.
Take time to reflect and pray to Father God.
Lord, we look to You to be our support.
When our friends are beaten down,
help us to stand with them,
in support them in truth,
staving off retaliation.
We look to Jesus’ example,
to turn the other cheek,
and so love to our enemies.
In Your glorious name, amen.
