Morning:
Reading: 1 SAMUEL chapter 31.
Meditation: as we pause with God, we take time to consider these particular words today.
“Saul took his own sword and fell on it.”
And then pray in response.
Lord God, today we finish reading about the Saul’s life.
We pray that we have learned from this story.
Show us the lesson to be learned here,
that we are all capable for faltering,
of losing our way.
Help us Lord, to keep true to Your path,
so we do not end separated from You.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on your neighbours.
Bring us joy from those around us, passing a smile between us, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from 1 SAMUEL chapter 31.
Reflect and then pray to this God in response.
Lord Jesus, we reflect on this day.
Did we ask according to Your will?
Have we put our selfish needs before You?
Have we focused on You and shared Your hope with others.
You, Lord, are the giver of all,
the Almighty King,
we bow this evening only to You.
Amen.
