Reading: 2 SAMUEL 18:1-18
Morning:
Reading: 2 SAMUEL 18:1-18.
Meditation: pause with God this new day. Consider these words written here.
- Kinship
- Mercy
And then turn to pray to God.
Lord God, Father to all mankind.
You are the perfect example of kinship.
Many of our earthly families are fractured,
riddled with disappointment, anger, jealousy,
and other hardships.
We ask for your forgiveness to pour into these relationships.
For mercy to be the gift we pass onto each other.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on family members.
Bring love, unity and forgiveness to our closest kin, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from 2 SAMUEL 18:1-18.
Reflect and then pray to the LORD our God.
Lord Jesus, the perfect Son.
You were separated from your Father
so that we could be reunited with him.
Let our action be those to make you proud,
and not to separate us from our Father.
Let our hearts rejoice from the mercy you bestow.
In your name, amen.
