Reading: 1 SAMUEL 21:10-15
Morning:
Reading: 1 SAMUEL 21:10-15.
Meditation: pause with God this morning. Prayerfully consider these words written here.
“took these words to heart and was very much afraid”
And then turn to pray to God.
Holy Father, life can be a challenge,
and we can sometimes be in fear
for ourselves, for others and for the future.
We focus on You in those moments
and ask for peace to endure and wisdom to conquer.
In Jesus name, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on Chris Brandie, our session clerk.
We thank You for his service and ask for continued strength to do Your will, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from 1 SAMUEL 21:10-15.
Reflect and then pray to the LORD our God.
Lord Jesus, our Saviour and our brother,
in our times of fear, You stand beside us.
We turn to You for the resilience to endure any hardship,
in the knowledge that you endured
more than we could ever imagine.
And at the start of lent,
we reflect on all the sacrifices You overcame for our sake.
In Your name, we pray, amen.
