Reading: MATTHEW 2:19-23.
Meditation: consider this passage as this new day begins.
And then respond in prayer to this God, our God.
Heavenly Father, in these, the last days of the year,
we look back to this year, for the ups and downs.
We thank You for the guidance You have given us,
and we look out for the direction and warnings in the next year.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
Be still and know the peace of God as you ask, seek and knock.
We are here Lord, we knock, we seek, we hear, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from MATTHEW 2:19-23.
Reflect on all that is said here and then pray to this God we believe in.
Lord Jesus, we look on what the prophets said,
and think on the journey that You took.
From the baby in the stable,
to Egypt and then to Nazarene.
We think about Your life and ministry,
to the cross and Your sacrifice.
We thank You for all the examples you gave,
and worship You for the gift of salvation.
