Reading: PSALM 56
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 56.
Mediation: as we pause with Jesus, we consider these words.
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
And then pray to this God we believe in.
God, in whom we place our trust,
it is by Your power that we find solitude.
This mortal world can often seem offensive to us,
but with You beside us, we are not afraid.
We welcome You beside us today.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from PSALM 56.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord God, we enter Your presence this evening,
to give You praise.
We worship Your almighty power.
For it is in You trust
that we need not be afraid.
Thank You.
All glory to You, amen.
