Reading: PSALM 58
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 58.
Meditation: as we pause with Jesus we take time to consider these words and truths afresh.
“Do you judge the people fairly?”
And then pray to this God.
Father God, Lord of true justice,
help us ask, do we judge people fairly?
Whether or not, we have any power,
do we look justly on those around us.
Do we hold ourselves accountable for our actions?
Do we ask the same of others?
Looking to our leaders,
we ask that they feel that same scrutiny.
Help us live a just life.
in Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from PSALM 58.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord Jesus, endure of the greatest injustice ever.
You accepted the cross for our redemption.
You are the example of how we should live.
Help us live that way,
living for God.
Not for rewards or gifts,
but simply because we love you.
All praise to you name, amen.
