Lord God, our great comforter,
return us to your embrace.
Sometimes our action will take us from you,
so we ask you this morning,
to show us the path to reconciliation.
We start those steps today.
To you we pray, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on the Church of Scotland.
Guide your church in wisdom, love and unity, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from 2 SAMUEL 14:1-24.
Reflect and then pray to the LORD our God.
Lord Jesus, the faithful teacher,
we read the word to learn truth and wisdom.
With wisdom we can teach others,
and speaking in parables or stories,
to help guide other to the truth.
