Morning:
Reading: PSALM 97.
Meditation: we take time with God to consider these particular words on this Sunday morning.
“Let those who love the Lord, hate evil, for he guards the hearts of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked”
And then we pray to Father God in response, humbly, honestly.
Lord God, your love is unconditional.
We declare our love for you this morning.
We lay bare to you, the follies of our hearts.
We bring our brokenness to your throne,
surrendering the evil in our lives to you.
We wish to be counted as your faithful,
for you will deliver us from the temptations that pull us from you.
For this we pray to you, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Prayer for the Month as your own prayer.
Heavenly Father, Saviour Jesus and Holy Spirit,
protect us from our weaknesses
and deliver us from despair.
We look to you in our suffering,
and raise our voices in worship.
All praise is given to your name, amen.
Evening:
Read these verses again from PSALM 97.
Reflect and then pray to this God of ours as we step into a new week – together – with Him.
Lord God, from whom power radiates.
Your light shines on those called the righteous.
At the end of this week,
we reflect on our actions.
We celebrate those moments we followed your path,
sharing in your victory of the righteous.
For the times we failed,
give us courage to do better in the week to come.
This is our prayer, amen.
