Reading: PSALM 103:1-14
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 103:1-14.
Meditation: as we pause with Jesus, we take time to consider these words.
“He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:”
And then pray to this God.
Father God, you are not selfish.
Although we may not understand all your ways,
and can get impatient with your plans,
you share them with us in time.
To you people, us, you share your Spirit.
He lives in us,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord, you son, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from PSALM 103:1-14.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord God, we wish to be like you.
Slow to anger, not quick with our fury;
abounding in love, showing kindness to all;
not always accusing, outpouring mercy and wisdom.
We pause this evening to reflect on our day,
show us where we succeeded to be like you,
and where we faltered in our journey.
We strive to be like you,
so we praise your holy name, amen.
