Morning:
Reading: PSALM 104.
Meditation: as we pause with God, we take time to consider these particular words today.
“When you give them your breathe, life is created,”
And then pray in response.
Holy Father, life-giving Spirit,
from you all earth was created.
You made all from the smallest insect
to the largest mammal;
for this we look to you in awe.
It was your breathe that created us,
by your Spirit.
It is that same Spirit that we invite into our hearts this morning.
At the beginning of the new week,
we ask your Spirit to always be known to us,
to be felt in our souls,
guiding our thoughts and actions.
To Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on the situation in Syria.
Bring a peaceful resolution to the conflict, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from PSALM 104.
Reflect and then pray to this God in response.
Lord God, you are the ever-present protector.
We do not always feel your presence,
for our trust sometimes wavers.
We are sorry.
We rededicate our hearts to you,
in faith, in trust and in hope.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
