Reading: PSALM 119:49-56
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 119:49-56.
Meditation: as we pause with Jesus, we take time to consider these words.
“I remember, Lord, your ancient laws, and I find comfort in them.”
And then pray to this God.
Heavenly Father, our comforter,
we find refuge in you.
Thank you for the guidance that you give.
Without which we would be wandering aimlessly,
easy prey for the evil one.
We rest in comfort with you, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from PSALM 119:49-56.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord Jesus, our saviour,
we still ourselves this evening to remember your name.
Saviour,
Redeemer,
Healer,
Brother,
Friend,
Protector,
King,
Counsellor.
We worship you, amen.
