Collections

We encourage our church and the community to bring items which can be used either to generate income for good causes or to support the specific needs of charities we support as a church. Most of these are collected in the Offering House at the main gate of the Kirkyard (see picture). The Kirkyard is open from 8am to 5pm daily, extending to 8pm in July and August. At Christmas and Easter, when the Offering House becomes either the Bethlehem stable or the empty tomb, collections are moved across the road into the Kirk Centre – you will be pointed in the right direction!

Please note that we cannot accept furniture or clothing.

Printer Cartridges

Original HP and Canon inkjet cartridges (no refills) can be recycled in the box in the Offering House. No other makes at present.

Food Bank at Tron Kirk Moredun

Donations can be left in the boxes provided in the Offering House or with the Lambs, 36 Liberton Drive (box outside garage if out). For special arrangements phone 0131 664 3059, or email david@dlamb.co.uk

Fresh Start

Fresh Start is a charity working with the homeless, and the part of their work we support is the provision of Starter Packs for people moving into accommodation after being homeless, giving them basic household items. Please leave contributions for Starter Packs in the Offering House. The up-to-date list of items required is in the Offering House and on the Foyer notice board (or on the Fresh Start website link below)– ONLY leave items that are on the list. N.B. No furniture can be accepted.

Bethany Care Van

The monthly Bethany Care Van team can take some: Warm coats/jackets, blankets, sleeping bags, new underwear or socks. BUT please don’t just leave it – contact Eleanor Grieve on ellie.57@hotmail.co.uk for instructions.

Donations of used stamps or stamp collections can be left in the box in the Kirk Centre Foyer, just to the left of the drinks cabinet. Alternatively contact David Lamb 0131 664 3059 or email david@dlamb.co.uk
