Reading: PSALM 60
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 60.
Meditation: as we pause with God, take time to consider these particular words today.
“Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.”
And then pray in response.
Lord God, the most powerful King,
we seek help from you this morning.
We can easily lose hope
and feel that we are beaten on all sides.
Help us to seek assistance only from you,
to reject an ‘easier’ path that would divide us from you.
No help we can give ourselves or others,
is truly helpful when not inspired by you.
Help us to be inspired and to inspire others because of you.
In Jesus name, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on believers in Afghanistan.
Bring safety and freedom, amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from PSALM 60.
Reflect and then pray to this God in response.
Lord Jesus, our Saviour,
at the end of this day, we pause to reflect.
What deeds did we do this day?
Did we act under your guidance?
Did your power and majesty be seen through us today?
For with your help, we will do mighty things,
but only when we let you into our hearts to do them.
We invite you in to live in our hearts,
and to do great works through us.
In your name, amen.
