Reading: PSALM 79
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 79.
Meditation: as we pause with Jesus, we consider these words.
“Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.”
And then pray to this God we believe in.
Lord God, our deliverer,
forgiveness is your gift to us.
You give it feely,
we just need to accept it.
And for this, we pause this morning
giving you all the glory.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from PSALM 79.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord God, you are the good Shepherd,
we are your sheep.
As your flock, we will follow our shepherd,
praising you for all you have done.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
