Reading: PSALM 89:46-52
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 89:46-52.
Mediation: as we pause with Jesus, we take time to consider these words and truths again.
- Does God hide? Or do we stop trusting him?
And then pray to our God.
Lord Jesus, you are the eternal King.
Our brother, you walk with us every second of this da,
yet sometimes we feel that you are not there.
We often find it difficult to recognise your presence,
so this morning we meditate on your Spirit,
growing our trust in you.
For even when we may not feel you strongly,
we can feel secure in the knowledge that you are there.
Thank you.
In your name we pray, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from PSALM 89:46-52.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord God, whose wisdom is unlimited,
we admit to you our inadequacies.
Life can often leave us angry, bitter and confused,
and we can turn that into accusations towards you.
You accept us in our humanity
understanding our mortal incomprehension of your plan.
We recognise that in ourselves this evening,
remembering that your perfect divinity is worthy of our trust.
To you, Father, we bring this pray, amen.
