Morning:
Reading: PSALM 65.
Meditation: as we pause with Jesus today, we take time to consider these verses.
“We will fulfil our vows to you, for you answer our prayers.”
And then pray to Him.
Jesus, God, the Son,
you are the hope for everyone on Earth.
The gospels tell of your awesome deeds,
of the same power that quiets storms.
Your power sustains this world,
forming everything from the highest hills to the lowest valley.
We think on you and shout and sing with joy.
In your name, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory, forever.
Amen.
Evening:
Read the verses again from PSALM 65.
Reflect and pray in response to what you read.
Lord God, creator of this Earth,
help us respect this world.
You have set the seasons to cycle,
to provide harvests for all your creature.
We pause this evening to savour the beauty of your world.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
