Morning:
Reading: 2 SAMUEL 12:15-31.
Meditation: consider these particular words this new morning.
“he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped”
And then respond in prayer to this God, our God.
Lord in heaven, merciful Father,
we worship at your feet this morning.
We reflect then ask for forgiveness
for when we have strayed from your path.
We know that you make clean
what we truly feel remorse for.
Thank you.
We accept your forgiveness,
starting fresh with you.
In Jesus name, amen.
Midday:
We pray God’s blessing on churches across Edinburgh.
Bring revival to your church in this city, amen.
Evening:
Read the set verses again from 2 SAMUEL 12:15-31.
Reflect on what is said here and then pray.
Lord Jesus, wonderful Saviour,
you took the sin of the whole world to the cross with you.
You stand with open arms,
awaiting our return to you.
We ask your Holy Spirit to destroy any barriers
we have constructed that are blocking our way to you.
