Reading: PSALM 105:1-22
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 105:1-22.
Meditation: as we pause with God today, we consider these truths.
“He always stands by his covenant – the commitment he made to a thousand generations.”
And then we take the time to respond in prayer with Him – asking, seeking, knocking!
Lord God, we give thanks to you,
and proclaim your greatness this morning.
We rejoice that our Father, our God,
is steadfast and always keeps his promises.
Help us today to pause if we are asked to commit.
Whether the oath is slight or immense,
let us only agree if we can and will truly fulfil it.
We do this, to be more faithful, like you.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
Take time to listen for God to speak with you – ask, seek, knock – hear!
We are here Lord, we knock, we seek, we hear, amen.
Evening:
Read the words again from PSALM 105:1-22.
Reflect and then pray in response to our God.
Holy Father, robed in honour and majesty.
We pause and think on your wonderful works.
We often do not see your plan,
and become overwhelmed by anguish,
turning to you with blame and bargaining.
Help to keep our faith in you,
trusting that although the journey you set us on
may have hardship, it will bear fruit in the end.
In your glorious name, amen.
