Reading: PSALM 73
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 73.
Meditation: we take time to consider these words this morning.
“But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold.”
And then we pray to this God in response.
Holy Father, you are our rock!
When we stand firm, in trust and acceptance,
expelling the human traits of anger and envy from our heart,
we will not fall.
So easy we can almost fall.
We pause this morning, to contemplate the day to come,
help us to keep our focus on your throne,
so that we will not lose our footing.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Prayer for the Month as your own prayer.
God in heaven, we exalt You!
You are the shelter we seek each day.
You are the only one who hears our cries from the darkness.
We invite You into our lives and we are filled with joy through Your Light.
With You by our side, the trials of this world, will not hold us down.
In You we put our hope and trust, amen.
Evening:
Read these set words again from PSALM 73.
Reflect and then pray to this God of ours.
Our Father, eternal parent, who cares for his children,
we reach out our hands to you.
Thank you for being our constant counsel.
Your depth of wisdom and the strength from your Spirit,
will always sustain us and protect us when we stay near to you.
We praise you this evening Sovereign Lord,
in the hope that we have shown you our faithfulness this day.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
