Reading: PSALM 80
Morning:
Reading: PSALM 80.
Meditation: we take time to consider these words this Sunday morning.
“Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.”
And then we pray to this God in response.
Lord God, we call on you this morning.
You are the giver of life,
we ask for you’re the fire of revival,
not just for our own hearts,
but for those we love,
the church,
this city,
this country
and this world.
We will not turn from you but will meditate in your Spirit.
Thanking you for the gift of your Holy Spirit
that we celebrate this Pentecost Sunday.
In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Prayer for the Month as your own prayer.
God in heaven, we exalt You!
You are the shelter we seek each day.
You are the only one who hears our cries from the darkness.
We invite You into our lives and we are filled with joy through Your Light.
With You by our side, the trials of this world, will not hold us down.
In You we put our hope and trust, amen.
Evening:
Read these set words again from PSALM 80.
Reflect and then pray to this God of ours.
Christ Jesus, you are the vine.
The vine that was predicted long ago,
to save your people.
We are your branches,
let your fruit grown through us,
the fruit of your Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit that you gave us,
on that first Pentecost Sunday.
In Your name, amen.
