Morning:
Reading: PSALM 87.
Meditation: we take time to consider these words this Sunday morning.
- New establishments
- unity
And then we pray to this God in response.
Lord God, our Rock, our King, our Sanctuary.
We look for your city in our lives.
We look for where the glorious places you are erecting.
The refuges you are building.
Call us to be part of these dwellings,
to dwell in your house, your city and your church.
Show us the way, this day.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Prayer for the Month as your own prayer.
God in heaven, we exalt You!
You are the shelter we seek each day.
You are the only one who hears our cries from the darkness.
We invite You into our lives and we are filled with joy through Your Light.
With You by our side, the trials of this world, will not hold us down.
In You we put our hope and trust, amen.
Evening:
Read these set words again from PSALM 87.
Reflect and then pray to this God of ours.
Lord Jesus, at the end of another week, and month,
we pause to ponder our actions.
Have we acknowledged you?
Did we follow the path set for us by you?
Or did we ignore your directions and take our own path.
Show us our failing that we may start a new month fresh.
And build on the goodness and faithfulness we showed to and for you.
To you we praise you with the music of our soul.
