Reading: 2 SAMUEL 16:1-14
Morning:
Reading: 2 SAMUEL 16:1-14.
Meditation: we take time with God to consider these particular words on this Sunday morning.
- Mercy
- Blessings
- Promises
- Restoration
And then we pray to Father God in response, humbly, honestly.
Lord God, from whom all blessings flow.
We approach you will humility this morning,
asking for your mercy and love,
to deliver us from our own misery.
We know that we strayed at times,
and failed to remain in the light,
but we ask you now to restore us,
returning us towards righteousness,
to rejoice in and fulfil the promises from you.
To your mighty name we pray, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Prayer for the Month as your own prayer.
Heavenly Father, Saviour Jesus and Holy Spirit,
protect us from our weaknesses
and deliver us from despair.
We look to you in our suffering,
and raise our voices in worship.
All praise is given to your name, amen.
Evening:
Read these verses again from 2 SAMUEL 16:1-14.
Reflect and then pray to this God of ours as we step into a new week – together – with Him.
Lord Jesus, you endured the hardest of journey,
but maintain your countenance of grace.
Help us in our journeys,
whether God-inspired or human-led,
protect us, refresh us,
and lead us home to you.
In your name, amen.
