Morning:
Reading: PSALM 113
Meditation: we take time to consider these words this morning.
“Everywhere – from east to west – praise the name of the Lord.”
And then we pray to this God in response.
Lord God, we praise you.
You have many names:
Brother, Friend, Father, Counsellor,
Saviour, Deliverer, Provider, Healer,
For all of these and more,
we praise you, amen.
Midday:
Pray the words of the Prayer for the Month as your own prayer.
Heavenly Father, Saviour Jesus and Holy Spirit,
protect us from our weaknesses
and deliver us from despair.
We look to you in our suffering,
and raise our voices in worship.
All praise is given to your name, amen.
Evening:
Read these set words again from PSALM 113.
Reflect and then pray to this God of ours.
Lord Jesus, you are the friend of the sinner.
When you walked on this Earth,
you showed love to the needy
and made them your friend.
You lifted them up
with your compassion and gentleness.
Show us how to do the same in our lives.
To you we pray, amen.
