Evening Prayer with Others

As we journey through this week….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from GENESIS chapter 43– as we consider BEFORE THE GOOD NEWS – GOD’S PLAN BEGINS through 2024.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes….

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Wednesday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, Yemen and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : GENESIS chapter 43
Meditation : prayerfully consider these words this morning
Another family journey to Egypt

What words stays with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you about His ways?

Then pray in response to this God of ours
Pray with honesty
Pray with humility
Pray for members of your family

In Jesus’ name
Amen and amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who live in care and nursing homes
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from GENESIS chapter 43
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

LORD God, merciful God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day
As we thank you for your Church Family worldwide
Telling others of this Jesus
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Pray in response to what you have read
Naming family members before Father God
Taking time to pause and listen for God’s answer

I call to the LORD for help;
I plead with him.
I bring him all my complaints;
I tell him all my troubles.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask, seek, knock….hear!
Father God…thank you.

Evening

read these words again – reflect and then pray in response to our God
