Pause to Pray for Others

On this last Wednesday in Advent…as the nation and the world wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For those in our community who are anxious and fearful at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Meditation : consider these words about Jesus this moning
What words stays with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you today?

Then pray in response to this God of ours

Midday
Pray with thanks for all who work in medical centres in our community
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the passage again from LUKE 2 verses 8-20
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

LORD God, merciful God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day
As we thank you for your Church worldwide
As we thank you for our Church Family at Liberton
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Tuesday Evening Advent Prayers with Others

As your Tuesday closes you are invited to pause and pray with others in our Church Family as we journey through this Christmas week
