Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : REVELATION 3 verses 7-13

Meditation : take the time to consider this passage today.
The Church in Philadelphia.
What words or images stay with you?
What is your response to God’s Word today?

Pray in response – to our God , the God who is with us

Pray your own words at the start of this day
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of need – for yourself and for your church family

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessings on the Leprosy Mission in Mozambique
O LORD, have mercy on this work we call out and pour rich blessings!

Evening
Reading : read the passage again prayerfully at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pray to God in response

LORD God, the LORD Almighty, hear my prayer this evening.
As I thank you for the blessings of this day
As I call out to you for others
As I lay myself and your Church before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Sunday Evening Advent Prayer with Others

As your third Sunday in Advent closes you are invited to pause and pray with others in our Church Family as we journey through this season

You may want to revisit the Daily Devotions for today from REVELATION chapter 4

You are encouraged to follow the pattern of P-R-A-Y which we have found to be a blessing from Lectio365/24-7 Prayer

P ause in God’s presence – acknowledge He is with you where you are

R ejoice in the blessings of this day He has given

A sk for His help – for yourself and for a situation/person known to you at this time

Y ield to His Kingdom will for tomorrow – say yes!

Pause to Pray for Others

On this third Sunday in Advent…as the nation and the world wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time

For family and friends and neighbours

For Church leaders in our nation at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time

Thy Kingdom Come at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world!

Each Sunday at Midday we will re-visit one of the 11 daily themes….and this time we revisit the youth videos.
This week it is HELP – as we are encouraged to ask for God’s help in our lives and in the lives of others

Reading : REVELATION 3 verses 1-6

Meditation : take time and consider these words this Sunday morning.
The Church in Sardis
What words stay with you?
What encourages and challenges you today?

And then pray in response to the LORD our God
As we yield to His Kingdom ways

O LORD our God,
Good and majestic One,
Sovereign God,
Great and so worthy of praise.
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You
On this Sunday in Advent
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

O LORD our God
At the close of this year

We pause with you
And remember who you are

We rejoice
In all the blessings you have given

We ask
To lead and guide us through the days ahead

We yield
To your Kingdom will
On earth
As it is in heaven

In Jesus’ name
Amen and Amen.

Evening
Reading : read these set verses again from REVELATION 3
Reflect on all that is said here in this particular passage and then Pray in response to this God

O LORD, our Great God,
Hear our evening prayers of praise we ask
As we thank you for what we read
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about
And lift your Church around the world up to you
