Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

 

Reading: ACTS 15 verses 1-35

Meditation: pause with God this morning.  Consider these words recorded here…

Purification

Salvation

 

And then turn to pray to God

Pray with confidence

Pray with honesty

Pray with humility

 

In Jesus’ name, amen.

 

Midday

We pray God’s blessing on our SEECOS Building Team members.

O LORD, guide their decisions and their work to bring glory to Your name.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

 

Evening

Reading: read the words again from ACTS 15 verses 1-35

Reflect –

and then pray to the Lord our God.

 

LORD God, thank you for the give of salvation;

That it is ours only by Your grace.

We only need to look to You, accept You, and love You;

And we are saved.

Upper Room day and Gathering for Prayer in the evening

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord.

Reading: ACTS 10

Meditation: as we pause with God this morning.  Consider these words and events…

The Spirit came to him…

“I have sent them…”

And then respond in prayer with Him

 

We call to the LORD for help;

Please give us direction and a vision of Your plan.

Like Peter, build Your Church Lord though us!

In Jesus’ name, amen.

 

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day

Ask, seek, knock…hear!

Father God…thank you.

 

Evening

Reading: ACTS 10

Read these words again – reflect and then pray in response to our God

Perhaps with the same prayer as the morning.

 

We call to the LORD for help;

Please give us direction and a vision of Your plan.

God of grace and mercy and rich blessing, hear our prayers we ask.

Reading: read these verses again from ACTS 9 verses 1-19

Reflect and then pause to pray to this God in response

 

Lord, we come before you, in thanks for your day.

Thanks that you have walked with us and shown us your path.

Make clear the journey that we have to take to help your glory be seen in this world.

And so to you, O God, we bring our evening words of prayer

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God.

Reading:  ACTS 8 verses 26-40

We take the time to consider these particular words on this Sunday morning:

Baptism

Scriptures

Prophesy fulfilment

Midday

Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

 

Lord, fill our hearts with a thirst to share the message about Jesus,

Your Son, Our Messiah.

 

Fill us with the same passion of the early church,

to bring the message of salvation to the world.

 

Give us the strength to overcome any persecution we may encounter.

Hold us strong.

Evening

Reading: read these words again from ACTS 8 verses 26-40

Reflect… and then Pray to this God of ours as we step into a new week – together – with Him.

 

O LORD, You who was sacrificed in our place,

Fill us with a thirst to hear more of Your words and prophesies.

Let us be an example of Your works and a voice of Your deeds in this world.

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Meditation: as we pause with Jesus today, we take time to consider these verses:

And then take time to Pray to Him.

Praying for those in this world persecuted for their faith.

Praying for those in need of healing

 

O LORD our God,

Hear our cries this morning,

We pray together this new day.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

 

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

 

Our Father, who art in heaven

Hallowed be Your Name.

Your kingdom come

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread

And forgive us our sins

As we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation

But deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.

Now and for ever,

Amen

 

Evening

Reading: read the verses again from ACTS 8 verses 1-8

Reflect and Pray in response to what you have read

 

For yourself and for others in your Church Family at this time

 

Lord, protect us and Your Church from those that would do it harm.

Banish from this world the spirits that want to destroy.

Build up Your Church Lord!

Bring healing to its people!

Make us strong Lord!

Pray God’s blessing on our Church Prayer List.

 

Father God, we bring to you our joy and our sorrow.

We lift to you all in need in our church, our family and our fellowships.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

 

Evening:

Reading:  read these words again from ACTS 4 verses 32-37.

Take time to reflect and pray to Father God.

 

O LORD, hear our evening prayers.

Thank you for the provisions you give us.

Show us how you want us to give for others.
