“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times.”
Micah 5 verse 2

Each Sunday at Midday we are re-visiting one of the 11 daily themes….and this time we revisit the theme of PRAY FORas we watch and listen with others on this Sunday….
2nd Sunday in Advent
Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God
Reading : LAMENTATIONS 3 verses 22-24
Meditation : take time and consider these words this Sunday morning.
God’s Unfailing Love.
What words stay with you?
What encourages and challenges you today?
And then pray in response to the LORD our God
Pray your own prayer of praise and thanks.
O LORD our God,
Faithful and Loving One,
Father God,
Great and so worthy of praise.
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You.
For we believe and trust in You
In Jesus’ Name, Amen and Amen
Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen
Evening
Reading : read these verses again from LAMENTATIONS 3
Reflect on all that is said here and then Pray in response to this God, our God
O LORD, our Great God,
Hear our evening prayers of praise we ask
As we thank you for what we read
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about.
May they know your unfailing love for themselves
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
